Following in big brothers' footsteps - The brothers and sisters of the Backstreet Boys are making a career for themselves

September 05, 2000

Aaron Carter, BSB-Nick's little brother has already been following in his brother's footsteps for a long time. Now Aaron is throwing a party and you are all invited because his second album 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It)' is soon being released. The single from the album has been available since today and on September 21, the album will follow, as Aaron told Worldmediaservice.com:

"Well I just finished my second album, well my first on Jive and I just released my single which is coming out here in Europe, it is called 'I Want Candy'."

The song is not about candies to eat, but, as Aaron told us: "It's pretty much about this girl, that I like and it's just explaining where I go, I'd like to see her on the beach, something like that, stuff like that. It's about this called out Candy."

The success of his big brother encourages the "little Prince of pop" a lot. Of course Nick supports him with all his might, he taught him how to play the drums and right now Aaron learns to play the guitar with the help of Nick.

The latest news are that Polyanna Dorough, Howie's sister, is aiming at a solo career, too. Her first official show took place in Florida during a BSB promotion campaign. Admittedly, it was fairly bad. Howie is currently collaborating with his sister Pollyanna on songwriting and producing.

While the little brothers and sisters are working on their singing careers, the BSB have already gone far: Having been superstars for a long time, you can now admire AJ, Brian, Howie, Kevin, and Nick as comic superheroes in the internet.

The first draft of the BSB-comic was created within the BSBs' own ranks. Comic fan Nick Carter got the idea - although he first wasn't taken seriously. Nick: "Three years ago, we were out on tour somewhere in Europe, and I was drawing some comics, and I actually created a little comic about the whole group. I told them: You know what, guys, we have to do something like this! And they said: Yeah, yeah, whatever, kid! So I decided to go to Stan Lee and prove them wrong."

You can admire the remarkable result under www.backstreetproject.com. With the aid of Stan Lee, the legendary creator of comic books, who made up comic strip heroes as successful as X-Men, Spider-Man or Hulk, the five megastars turned into superheroes. The comic characters are provided with different types of superpower to protect the world, each one in his own way - and exactly suitable to his traits of character.

Howie D., who always wanted to fight violence - his father was a policeman - is the 'Illusioneer' and creates illusions in the mind of other people. As a child, Nick already wanted to be a ninja warrior, so he created the character of the 'Ninja-Man', a very strong artist of martial arts. A.J. fights in the role of the 'Ordnance', a specialist in firearms, who never misses his target. Brian operates as 'Top-Speed' with excellent running and jumping skills since Brian's passion has always been playing basketball. Kevin turned into the 'Power Lord'. Possessing superhuman strenght and an outstanding intelligence, the 'Power Lord' is the brain of the group.

As far as music is concerned, the five boys from Orlando, Florida, have neither been idle. On November 21, the new album is to be released, though they haven't settled on a title yet. But it's quite certain that the new album is going to storm the charts - as did the predecessors.

After all: BSB Fans expect nothing less than the best! And who knows, with all that Carter euphoria... Perhaps there'll be the BSB-Family-Band pretty soon?
