| Proposed PPL Generating Station PPL is proceeding with the approval process for the generating stations but with the intention of selling the development rights to a third party. PPL plans to sell the rights due to failing wholesale electric prices and regulatory conditions. PPL's Preliminary Plan was approved with conditions at the 2/25/02 Supervisors' meeting. |

| In January 2002 Chris Neumann, Lancaster County's Transportation Planner, resubmitted a proposal of improvements to the County's Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The proposal is based on the 2001Traffic Study and uses only state and federal funds, totaling $834,000, for improvements to the Schaum�s corner area � along Route 772, from Main Street to Route 272. The proposal was accepted by the MPO so it is likely that the proposal will get included in the update to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that is adopted by PENNDOT. The proposal calls for the improvements to begin in Oct. 2002 and to be completed by 2005. |
