From: Mark Lauriello, PE, Project Manager

I have summarized below a proposal that has been put together by Chris Neumann, Lancaster County’s Transportation Planner. This proposal includes using state and federal funds, totaling $834,000, for improvements to the Schaum’s corner area – along Route 772, from Main Street to Route 272. This proposal is being considered on January 28, 2002 by the County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The MPO sets the priorities for the state and federal funding that gets allocated to all transportation projects in Lancaster County. If the MPO supports this proposal, it is likely that this proposal will get included in the update to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that is adopted by PENNDOT.
