Transportation Coordinator
Has a list of drivers and vehicle capacity and secures drivers for field trips and camping outings.
The Transportation Coordinator will maintain a list of drivers with their car insurance information and vehicle capacity. This can be obtained from the Driver’s Information Sheet that adult volunteers complete at the start of the year.
The Transportation Coordinator will need to secure drivers for field trips and camping trips. For most events, drivers will be needed in addition to the leaders.
The Transportation Coordinator will submit 1-2 articles to the troop newsletter during the year. These articles should be used to inform parents about procedures they must follow as drivers on Girl Scout events.
The Transportation Coordinator will ensure that all drivers carry a Blue Emergency Card, directions and maps to the destination, a copy of each girl’s health form & permission form, and a first aid kit.
The Transportation Coordinator will share and review a copy of the Trip Planning Checklist with each driver before the trip.
