Welcome to the home page of Brownie Troop 698 located in Winston-Salem,
NC. We are proud to be part of the Tarheel Triad Girl Scout Council. At
this time, we are a troop of sixteen girls (ages 6-8 & grades 1st thru
3rd). Our troop leader, Karen Kunz, is entering her second year as troop leader. She has two wonderful assistant leaders, Lisa Hawkins and Laurie Jones that are always willing to lend a helping hand. There are many things to see and do here. Come
in...sit for a spell. We really enjoy the company.
Our troop was established in the fall of 2000, by our former leader Regina Jones. The troop meets from mid-August
through mid-May. The girls enjoy a wide variety of activities, including
camping, computers, crafts, service, math & science topics and lots of
fun. They also like to plan activities for their troop. We have earned many Try-Its and patches, and we
participated in several service projects. The girls marched in the
Lewisville holiday parade 2 years in a row and we have also been on several camping trips and sleepovers. Our troop spent the day at Sciworks, visited Old Salem and the Winston-Salem Police Department.
We want to share information about our program so that hopefully you
might learn from us and enjoy the Girl Scouting journey. We have
included lots of pictures to help inspire you along the road. Outside of
Girl Scouts we like to read, hang out with friends, play soccer, dance,
do gymnastics and roller skate.
