Shining Volunteer Coordinator

Assists with the paperwork associated with the Shining Volunteer award. Answers parent questions about requirements. Promotes the award in troop newsletter several times during the year.

 

The Shining Volunteer Coordinator will assist the Leader with the paperwork associated with the Shining Volunteer award. This includes verifying the forms for correctness and completeness. The Coordinator will then make copies of the forms and submit them to council.

 

The Shining Volunteer Coordinator will pick up the awards from the council office for the year-end Court of Awards ceremony.

 

The Shining Volunteer Coordinator will answer parent’s questions regarding requirements for the award.

 

The Shining Volunteer Coordinator will promote the award in by submitting articles to the troop newsletter at least twice a year.

 

The Shining Volunteer Coordinator will work with the Leader to establish a deadline for the submission of the form and will then communicate this deadline to all registered volunteers.

 

Optional: The Shining Volunteer Coordinator may have parents fill out the form mid-year (December) to take an assessment of where they stand in regards to satisfying the requirements.
