Whole Chicken in a Can

Take a large coffee can with the lid removed. Drill two small holes about 1.5 to 2 inches from the closed end (bottom) of the can - one on each side. Take a rinsed whole chicken and drop it into the can so that the little legs are sticking up to the open end. Stab a metal skewer through the two holes and cover the top with double thickness of foil. Add salt and pepper before it goes into the can. Place foil side down in the coals of your fire and rake some coals around the sides of the can. Wait 1.5 to 2 hours remove and enjoy. Cook potatoes and veggies by boiling them in a coffee can at the same time. Serve with rolls and stovetop stuffing.
