The Iris Borer, no friend of mine

I'm presently fighting a losing war against these borer larva that destroyed my bloom season completely in 2004.  Please stay tuned while I investigate and test different pesticides available here in Canada to try to solve the problem.  As of July 2004 Cygon 2E appears to be the only readily agailable option  in the province of Quebec.  I, as of yet, don't know if Merit, which is a new compound that is supposedly less toxic than Cygon in available this side of the border.  The active ingrediant is called Imidacloprid.  Please stay tuned while I rather data and photos for this section
