Well, this year actually pretty good due to the very early Spring we had.  The seedlings and named varieties had plenty of time to grow prior to bloom which yielded some mighty fine appendages. The only major problem was those nasty Verbena moth borers that just love to bore into unopened buds and demolish them.  This makes it impossible to make crosses.   We got hit with a few days of heavy rain with pretty much put an end to my hydriziding but at least I got a few pods from Space Age parents.

Tiger Honey x Rock Star	Two striking Irises, never liked RS from photos but I loved it in person
Reincarnation x Sultry Mood	Reincarnation is one of my new favorite Space agers, it threw flawless appendages down to the last bloom
Sultry Mood x Mesmerizer	Mesmerizer was also mind-blowing for producing reliable flounces. Sultry Mood is a large  robust  burst of  color, a great grower.
Codicil x Mesmerizer	We just love Codicil here, it should have won a Dykes, maybe I should check to see if it has.
French Horn x Mesmerizer	This was a last chance cross the happened to take, there wasn't much left to work with and it was HOT !  FH is very short here, needs to be taller
Mesmerizer x French Horn	See above, should produce plenty of SA seedlings.  Mesmerizer is supposedly among the  best for producing flounces.  We'll see.....
(Babbling Brook x Thornbird)x Eaves Thornbird seedling (Dark Magician)	It will be interesting to see if any thounbird colored seedlings will surface from this cross of two purple seedlings.  I'm very interested.
(Blackout x Honky Tonk Blues) x (Thornbird x Triple Whammy)	The Tbird x TW cross yielded some unbelievable magentas and reds that just blew my mind.  Poor growers but impressive colors.   This was another last chance cross that took.  I'm intrigued .......as usual :-)
