Mister's Bathroom
Mister has the larger of the two bathrooms. We moved in when he was still quite young so I figured he needed a bigger bathroom so there'd be room for me to give him baths. So there is more wall space, too, for two pieces hanging.
This one is a Mister original. Mister used to like to paint and this was done when he was about 4 years old--give or take a few months. Ok, it's just brush strokes, but the colors aren't bad and he was quite pleased. It's been framed and up for so long it is part of the decor and I could not part with it:
The other piece is a three-dimensional sandbox. Mister actually finagled this one out of me after his mom wouldn't get it for him. We were at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and he pointed it out and asked if we could get it. I said sure. Had I known I was his second shot at it, I probably would have said no just on principle. But at least he didn't preface it with, "mom said I couldn't have it." After a short struggle over how often he could tilt the box to adjust the sand, it has sat in this spot for several years now. I like it:
