	Family Notes: Jeremiah A. Bowman worked in the printing business. He was also a member of the 12th Massachusetts Infantry during the Civil War. On Sept. 18, 1864, he married Mary E. Moylan, who was born in Ireland around 1842. In 1872, Mary died in Boston. We don't believe that Jeremiah and Mary had any children. According to the 1870 census for Boston, there was a Jeremiah Bowman, who was listed as a sewing machine maker, and was married to a Margaret. It is unknown if this is the same Jeremiah Bowman shown above. According to the 1880 census, there were two Jeremiah Bowmans living in Boston. Our Jeremiah Bowman was listed as Jerry A. Bowman, 34, born in Ireland, worked in printing, was married to Margaret, and had sons Richard, 4, and John, 2. The other Jeremiah Bowman was 38, born in Ireland, worked as a laborer, was married to Hannah, 38, born in Ireland, and had the following children: Annie, 9, born in Ireland, Nellie, 6, born in Ireland, Maggie, 4, born in MA, Thomas, 2, born in MA, and John, 1mon, born in MA. Also listed was Jeremiah's mother, Hanna, 60, born in Ireland. This Jeremiah Bowman died in Boston on Aug. 1, 1881. According to his death certificate, he was 40, born in Ireland, worked as a Hostler, lived at 438 Federal St., and his parent's were Jeremiah Bowman and Hannah. It is suspected that this Jeremiah is probably related to our Jeremiah Bowman.
