characters also includes the factory's CEO, a crablike monster named
Henry J. Waternoose and the snake-headed, beguiling receptionist

Additional
details:
In this parallel dimension populated by creatures of various size/shape
a corporation maintains portals to the underside of childrens beds
in our world. Monsters must audition for a spot and then are transported
under the bed and must capture screams. Screams are the chief fuel
source of this nether realm. There is only one law...Never Bring
Back A Child! Well, of course two bumbling monsters bring a 3 year
old girl back and are immediately punished by being exiled to our
dimension. There they find out that the monsters of our urban legends
i.e. Bigfoot, Nessie, Yeti are also exiled monsters. A lot of very
funny stuff here. Eventually the heroes realise that not only screams
power their home world but so does laughter.
Although the working title is Monsters, Inc., it is referred to
as "Hidden City" by everyone because it was being developed at the
building across Pixar's main building, and takes that name from
the Hidden City Cafe in Point Richmond, where the directors love
to order their dinners from when working late.
