Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly. -- Rose Franken

I haven't been posting much lately because when I'm at the computer I'm usually either working on the novel or doing weblog reviews. Those things, along with getting ready for the holidays, have kept me pretty busy.
Speaking of the holidays, I'm one of the people who hates that Thanksgiving is becoming the lost holiday. It seems so many people go straight from Halloween to Christmas. It seems that this year especially Thanksgiving should be remembered and celebrated -- and not just as a day to watch a parade, eat turkey and pumpkin pie then sleep during a football game.
I have a lot to be thankful for this year but I'm not going to name everything. But I will say that most of what I'm thankful for starts with Nick. I'm also thankful that I don't have to write the annual first-day-of-Christmas-shopping story for them.
This is the first Thanksgiving I'm spending outside of Pennsylvania. I know I'll miss not seeing my mom, but other than that I'm happy to be here in sunny, uh, foggy California.
