Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly. -- Rose Franken

We watched a great movie the other day. Keeping the Faith with Edward Norton, Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman. (I'm not a Ben Stiller fan, but the movie is so good that it made me forget he was starring in it.) The three of them have been friends since junior high school. But she moves to California and the three of them aren't together again until they're adults, and it's then that Stiller and Norton fall in love with her. It's a pretty wacky love triangle because Norton's a Catholic priest. Stiller's a rabbi, but Elfman's not Jewish. One of the funniest scenes, however, doesn't even involve the love triangle. It's Stiller helping a kid get ready for his Bar Mitzvah. I don't want to even begin to describe the scene because I don't believe I could do it justice. Do yourself a favor, rent this movie.
On the novel front, I'm at just over 23,000 words -- almost halfway there. Will I get to 50,000 in 17 days? You bet I will!
