Geez, I hope I don't do anything like this during my sleep walking/talking episodes. If I do, I at least hope the underwear is clean.

Well, if you're gonna leave it where people can get to it what do you expect? Seems police in Canada buried 20,000 pounds of marijuana plants in a city dump. "There were whole rows of guys with shovels digging it up all night and hauling it away in trucks," Ron McInnes, 53, who runs the Orillia Pot Shop told the Toronto Star. "I've had at least 25 people who got from 10 to 100 pounds each in here telling me all about it."
Gotta love it.

I would have to agree with this. Well, at least it's one of the best things about being a grownup.

My apologies to anyone who may have visited a few minutes ago and was greeted with the mess geocities made of my header. Sometimes their ftp isn't the most reliable but, as I've said before, you get what you pay for. I guess I shouldn't complain. But it's all better now, and should make for faster loading of this page. Thank you Nick!

I've been meaning to write this about Michael Jordan for a few days but, when my brain is working, it's traveling in a bazillion different directions and I never get around to it. Anyway, here it is. He says he's going back to the NBA because he has an "itch he has to scratch." Geez Michael, please tell it like it is. You miss the adoration. If you were doing it for the love of the game, you'd get as much, if not more, pleasure from playing hoops with a bunch of kids at the YMCA. But, out of your own mouth at your own press conference, you said that doesn't appeal to you. Tell ya what Michael. You don't appeal to me anymore. Big deal, huh? One less fan. But know what? Betcha I'm not the only one.

I'm glad I had Wil Wheaton's site linked here before the LA Times ran a story saying he's become "something of an underground sensation on the Internet."

"The West Wing" last night was wonderful. There was information that tried to help us all understand what's going on, without being preachy. One thing I hope a lot of people understand after watching the show is -- Islamic extremism is to Islamic what the KKK is to Christianity.

I have a new addiction on the 'net. The Daypop Top 40 Links. It's a list of the sites currently popular with webloggers around the world and, in my humble opinion, it's pretty cool.

I couldn't sleep for various reasons, so here I am. As I went bloghopping, I came across someone I do believe may have been in my college graduating class. Whether or not that's the case, this gave me a chuckle.

What a day! I woke up in the middle of the night -- 3 a.m. maybe? -- with a migraine. I HATE MIGRAINES!!!! It wasn't as bad as migraines I've had in the past, but it still sucked. Now I just feel blah. I'm using what's left of my energy to type this.
Did you ever read something in someone else's blog and wish you could say something to help them feel better, but you know nothing's going to work? I hate that helpless feeling. But sometimes the best way for someone to get over the feelings they have is to work them out for themselves. I hope the people who are feeling bad for various reasons work it out soon. I'm pulling for them.

I just added a breast cancer link here. I redid a page I've had up for a few years. It's about me & my Mom when we were dealing with her breast cancer. I say "we" because it's a family thing. I'm sure anyone who has a family member who had breast cancer will agree.

I've been feeling kind of (OK, more than kind of) sick, and after my second trip to the bathroom, I realized I'm not gonna get much sleep for a while so I decided to come here and, with any luck, bore myself to sleep. Instead, I found a stupid but addictive game. *sigh*

With all the hate and war and evil in the world today, it's easy to forget the simple pleasures. Yesterday, I woke up in the wee hours of the morning and felt Nick's stomach against my back. I smiled and went back to sleep. What can be better than waking up in the middle of the night and feeling the person you love sleeping next you?
I didn't mean for this post to be philosophical or have any great meaning. But if it makes one person smile or one person stop and count his/her blessings, that would make me happy.
