The Damert Toy Company Alien Autopsy

One of my first contracts as an Account Executive was to enlarge this production game by a factor of three, while retaining or enhancing the play-ability of the game. It has multicolor organs, three playing stations, and we even managed to preserve the light-up eyes (although a dark environment helps contribute to the macabre aspect of the game play).

What does it do? It shrieks in agony if you don't remove its organs carefully (remember "Operation"?). We're told it's nothing more than a nervous-system reflex, but the sound will haunt you...

 We tested it thoroughly.

The crate separates into two parts, which stack on top of each other to form the base. The skirt then velcros to them to make an attractive stand. The game simply rests on top of this, with lots of open space underneath to allow the sound effects to escape.

The client loved it, and sold many game units. This sales aid, originally intended for two tradeshows, was re-purposed and became the centerpiece for a nationwide traveling promotion. It also appeared on the news at the New York Toy Fair.
