Am
a Libran. My family has been my strength all the time. Family to me is
where the heart is. Whether you stay near or far from them , family is
there in my heart always. So here is my list of my family members.
Nongmaithem
Kunjamani Singh.
My Dad is now retired . Was the Private Secretary to the Deputy C.M. of
Manipur before he retired. He had also served with various other Ministers
like Power, Education, Works etc. He loves gardening and pets. Have won
many prizes in flower shows in Manipur. He has been a source of inspiration
for me since my childhood.

Kunjeshwori Devi.
My Mom .... a house wife. Always so caring ... as Moms are always. Will
always tell me " Ibungo .. dont do this . Dont eat that.....Come
home early .... Don't druve fast ...." Thats my Mom. My Sweet Mom.
One thing I really like about Mom ... she makes sure I have atleast four
'jantras' on my arms. (Jantras are small metal drum like
stuffs where men wear around their arms for protection from the evil forces...
they have some clothes, sometimes a piece of wood or some clay at times
even ... and they are meant to ward of bad omen , bad girls , bad people
.....)
Dr.
N. Romi Singh.
My eldest brother. He is a doctor working in Imphal for the last 14 years
in Regional Medical College, Imphal. He is especialised in Orthopaedics.
MBBS from RMC, Imphal. PG from Safdarjung Hospital with specialization
in Orthopaedics. have won many awards and has a lot of publications under
his name. Serving a lot of patients in Regional Rehabilitation Center
Imphal. Married to a sweet Manipuri woman and is now with two kids whom
I named as Princy(Priyanka) who is now in V standard and Ricky who is
in III standard. I love naming kids and both Princy and Ricky are named
by me. Princy is a sweet girl and is always after me for her home assignments.
While Ricky is a naughty guy and he attends gymnastics classes every evening
with a 6 Km run every Sunday.
Mrs.
N. Momonbi Devi.
She is the sweetest Bhabhi (sis-in-law) I ever had. Works as a Physiotherapist
in Regional Rehabilitation Center, Imphal along with my brother. Apart
from being a physiotherapist, she also makes very good food and I had
many a times bitten my fingers at home eating Bhabhi's delicious food.
She is like my second mom as I used to confide all my secrets to her.
Mom has always taught me to consider her as my second mother.

N. Roma Devi.
My eldest sister got married to an engineer. Did her Masters in literature
in Manipur University. She is still not able to get a job in Imphal inspite
of her education. Such is the plight of the system in Imphal. I am lucky
I got away from home.
Mrs.
N. Kalpana Devi.
My second elder sister is married to an engineer again. She is a teacher
and also has two kids . Deepak who is in the V standard and Dolly who
is now one and a half years.

Viveka Singh.
My second elder brother is also married. He is unemeployed and is self
employed. This is one of the trends in Imphal. He is also with two kids.
Vimash is in IV standard and is named by me again. A very naughty kid.
Like father , like son. But a very kind hearted person.

N. Reena Devi.
My second Bhabhi is equally sweet. Is a house wife and does good embroidery.
Yummy food is never a problem at home with my second Bhabhi around. And
of course ... secrets are shared with her also. :)

Shanti Devi.
She is my younger sister who is at present doing her Masters in Environment
Sciences. I am so glad at least one from my family is into saving the
environment. She loves to sleep and is an easy going type of person. She
is an aspirant for Research and further studies after her Masters course.

Ragini Devi.
The youngest amongs all of us. She is doing her Graduation in G.P. College
in Home Science at present. She does a lot of craft works and embroidery
and sewing is a side profession she does at home apart from studies.
Now apart from this
family of mine in Imphal , I have one more family in Bangalore.
I have been in Bangalore since August 1994 and I grew up with my friends
in my hostel. These friends of mine have become a part of me and they
are my family now. This is my second family in Bangalore. These
set of friends have been staying with me through the good times and
the bad times and we have managed to hang on together for eight
long years now. Can you believe that ? Eight long years of being together
and we are a family here. Though we are a little scattered here and there
in Bangalore because of being employed in various companies , I stay with
five more friends here. And I am proud to present my second family here.
