| An Indian was going by train from Delhi to Bombay. He kept getting off at every station to buy a ticket up to the next station.
When the train reached Delhi, the man's fellow-passengers asked him why he kept on buying tickets instead of buying one ticket for the entire journey. The man replied, "I am not well. My doctor said that it was dangerous in my condition to take long journeys." "All tickets please," announced the conductor on a train. One man started searching frantically through his bag, his wallet, in his pockets. Everyone was laughing because he had the ticket between his teeth The conductor snatched the ticket, stamped it and gave it back. After the conductor had gone, one of the passengers said, "I bet you feel a bit silly after looking everywhere for your ticket when it was right in your mouth all the time." "Why silly?" replied the commuter. "I was chewing the date off. " |
