Memories of Blythwood

Nancy Watson, Class of '69

The first memory that always comes to mind is Grade 6 - being out in the portable with the unconventional layout of the classroom and Mr. Legg's unique teaching style.

The teaching games, the reading area with his big, comfy chair, educating us about the stock market....I'm remember feeling lucky that whole year (and beyond) that he was my teacher. He was my second real-life example of someone who "heard a different drummer" and let the music lead him. My dad was my first.

However, with all the respect I had for him, I wasn't able to remember his name - for some wacky reason, I thought it was Mr. Leggat. So glad I'll get it right for the second half of my life!!

While I would like to spread the news about the reunion, I unfortunately lost contact with most classmates after Grade 6 when I went to a different school. I will pass the word to the grads I know from other years ...
