Some of my memories of Blythwood:
- the winding outdoor staircase to kindergarten
- Miss Parker's kindness
- Mr. Baker's ( Lawrence's ! ) hockey team at Maple Leaf Gardens with the whole school watching
- indoor recesses on rainy days in the girls dressing room
- the endless lines we waited in
- night skating, under the lights
- air raid drills, where we were to curl up, under our desks
- Grade 6 Outdoor Education week at Toronto Island School
- Friday night dances ... thanks, Jimmy Wilson !
- our trip to Ottawa ... Chateau Laurier & The Mint !
- many teenage returns to Blythwood for quiet times, alone & not
- back for practice Teaching ( '72- the day Canada beat Russia while all the school watched & cheered)
- back with 3 sons, learning to skate on the same rink ...
- one quick drive-by in August, before moving west
