The definition of roleplaying is just as it sounds, playing a role. Now in order to roleplay you don't need to be an expert on Elizabethan English. Roleplaying envolves becoming a character, its a way to bring gameplay to a whole new level. The first thing you should know about roleplaying is that you never leave character. Your other characters could be refered to and brothers or sisters of yours. Your pet would be a noble steed not just another graphic on the screen. If you ever did need to talk out of character then you might add somthing like (OOC) before your speech so people know your talking out of character. Secondly, its not a bad idea to add a few Thees and Thous in your speech so as you sound more authentic. Heres a few words to get ye started... Thee/Thou - You Ye - You Yay - yes Nay - no Tis - This is Foul - Evil Hail - Hello Have at thee - Prepare to fight Well Met - Proper response to Hail Noble - Person of high class This should be a good start for your roleplaying expeditions. Now the third thing you should remeber is to always be polite. Even if your only goal is to kill the other person at least come up with a reason of why your doing it. Lastly the fourth thing you should remember is that practice makes perfect. At first it may seem a bit awkward but eventuly you'll roleplaying by second nature.
