Now you ask.. what exactly does this all entail
Well for starters you have to apply for an interview whenever your school has a meeting for the Disney College Program. You will see flyers everywhere around your school stating when the meeting is so don't worry. Then once you attend the meeting you sign up for an interview (sometimes it is right after the meeting and sometimes it is the day after depending on the amount of people and when the interviewers next place to be is)
Once inside the interview the interviewer will ask you a few quetsions mostly ones regarding what you would do if a customer asked you this or that. Or if a problem arose what would you do. Simple questions. Not hard at all. So don't be nervous.
Then you wait. and wait. and wait somemore for a letter or an email. Anf if you finally get accepted- which is a dream come true- you celebrate at McD's Lol.. No really you go online to the above site I gave you and you see where you have been sorted into. I was told I would work in Operations. I suppose Brynne and Tanja was told the same since we all worked in the same area. Anyhoo.. You tell them that you accept your job and then you check a date when you will arrive for your internship.
So then the big day comes and you fly, drive, or walk whichever you prefer to get to your destination- WDW! Once you arrive at the housing for Disney which will be Vista Way- because everyone arrives there first. You get told where you live and what apartment you live in. I lived in Vista Way Bldg. 33. Brynne lived in Bldg 25. =) Tanja lived at Chatham Square- I will explain both in a minute.
Housing
Vist this site to see some pictures of Vista Way and Chatham housing set up plans:
Here
Vista Way- or called Vista Lay- (because was in Playboy's top 10 place to get laid_ but that's besides the point. It is a party central place. I loved it. It isn't luxurious as let's say a hotel.. but it's a college apt. and you can't expect too much. It has a swimming pool and hot tub (though I would avoid that if I were you) The best thing about living at Vista is the fact that Vista is the hub place for everything. It is where all the parties are held, it is where you can get to and from the parks on the buses- because the buses all are stationed at Vista.
Chatham Square: This is the Luxurious place to be compared to Vista. It is larger housing, more cable stations on tv, and a larger swimming pool. Though you have to transfer buses to Vista to get anywheres you want.
I lived at both places because I extended. I liked both. For different reasons of course. I loved Vista because I got to hang out with Brynne basically everyday- even after work lol. Though I didn't like my room-mates too much. I liked Shirley and Meghan and Nicole (at times). I hated the other two for how they acted. I wasn't home very often though because I hung out every night. Then once I extended and Brynne was gone I was happy to be living at Chatham Square. I was close to Tanja so I hung out with her every night and had parties at her house and had fun.
Once There..
Well basically after a few days you have little orientation things to go to. Then you find out where you work. They keep you in suspense. Since I worked at Epcot I went to an orientation there as well. Then we walked around the park, were told where the hidden mickey's were and then an announcer announced on the loudspeaker that we were new CP's. Then we met our managers at where we worked at and then the rets is history.. You basically work work work and have fun if you make work fun. I did. So I had a blast. Others who didn't like their locations chose to not have fun and so they hated their jobs. I say make it fun and you have fun.
