Baby Guinea Pigs!!!

To fully understand the miracle of what you're about to see, you need some background info:
   I got Gollum in October of 1999, and Gidget in December of 2000, with the full intention of making baby pigs - however, after putting them together in Febuary 2001, no babies...only misguided hopes of babies.
   In the summer of 2001, I noticed an excessive amount of "sleep" coming from Gidget's eye. Out of concern, I took her to the vet. She was diagnosed with Chlamydia. (Please refrain from laughing, it hurts her little feelings) And after some thought, I realized that Gidget has probably had this since before I got her. So, it was assumed that Gidget was sterile.
   During Gidget's ill time, she was gaining alot of weight, but it was quickly assured that it was not pregnancy by the vet. I was sad. Everyone was sad. But the weight kept packing on.

In late October of 2001, while cleaning out Gollum and Gidget's cage, I mentioned to my mom that if Gidget got any bigger, that I would have to take the poor little thing to the vet again. In a joking manner, my mother and I were feeling Gidget's belly, cause it was just so darn big! Then, we both felt it - kicks.
I was estatic!My baby girl was gonna have babies! And they weren't far off from the feel of it!
There was kicking and jumping, and sometimes some little purrs came from the huge belly!

On November 1, 2001, a few friends and I had just gotten home from some post-Halloween shopping, and I was about the show Deanne my fat pig, when I realized..."My pig isn't very fat anymore...and what the heck are those little brown things??!" Then after a few seconds, it clicked in, and I realized that I was a grandma!!
Gidget had two beautiful little babies, that are perfect in every way! A little boy, and a little girl.
