Old Information
Hi I'm Samantha Katelyn Pointer. I was born December 13, 1999. I was just like every one else, So they thought , but I WAS different.
When I was about 5 months old the Doctors noticed that I was not developing like I should. Thats when they started doing all kinds of test on me. Well to keep it short, the doctors said that I was born with Angelman Syndrome, a genetic disorder.
I know that you might think that it is good that they know what is wrong with me, but I am not sure this is a good thing.
I see what this is doing to my family! Mommy has to spend all her time taking care of me. Everybody is broke all the time. But you know what! I can manage a BIG SMILE and the tension all seems to go away for a little while. I like to smile!
Some times the seizures get really bad, but Mommy is there to make me feel better. I don't know how she does it but she is always there for me,,, NO MATTER WHAT.
I wish I could do something for her. She is having a real hard time right now. That is why we have an account for me. You know for those of you that might be able to help just a little.
I know that it would help. If you can't help us with money then help us with prayer.. We need alot of that.
The Doctors have me on alot of medicines but they are going to try another one. If this one works then they will try to take me off all the others. That will be great!
Mommy is almost through with her first semester of college. (and doing really well too)!
