Despite allegations to the contrary, we are not attempting to encourage the spread of HIV / AIDS through
sexual conduct, either planned or through reckless or irresponsible behavior. It is our opinion that the
spread of HIV and AIDS has been due more to
irrational public fear, and media and medical half-truths, than because of responsible unprotected sex.
Still, a voice is given to those who do seek to acquire or transmit the virus, if that is what they
truly want. Censorship is not a feature of this website, because we feel that censorship serves no other
purpose than to squelch ideas and discussion (thereby undermining knowledge), and to sway an audience toward a singular way of thinking.
And frankly, if we were intended to think and act as one, we would not have been blessed with such capable minds
and an innate tendency toward independent thought.
Each person involved with the creation and presentation of this website has suffered a loss of friends
and loved ones due to HIV ~ we do not live in a vacuum. Instead, we feel it is our responsibility to
overcome our tragic losses through information and non-judgment. Life, after all, is for the living.
No prejudice over age, race, or HIV status will ever be supported here. Barebackjack.com is a community
more than simply a sex site on the web; a community of gay men of all nations, colors, shapes, sizes and interests.
Our objective is to bring together men of one common interest so that we may ALL grow, share, learn,
experience, love, and yes... fuck.
Men are creatures of nature. And condoms, no matter how vital some may perceive them, are not natural. We
at barebackjack.com understand that fear is also the nature of man. Fear has always been the driving force
behind most of man's lesser qualities. Fear limits both action and thought. And while fear has its appropriate
place, when fear envelops an entire generation of mankind it takes on a life of its own and blurs the line
between healthy fear and hysteria. Our goal is to help undo some of the unhealthy fear and hysteria
surrounding HIV and AIDS so that logic and honesty will guide people into this next millennium.
Honesty is also at the crux of this issue. Our society has lost its interest in truth and replaced it with
religious dogma, political correctness, sensationalism and ultimately the bondage of the soul. We are led to
believe that our purpose for being alive is to suffer and only reap small, fleeting pleasures during our
tenure. Our philosophy is simply this: Life is meant to be the complete enjoyment of all the pleasures and
experiences we desire. It is death that has taught us how life is wasted. So pity those who, for whatever
reasons, have feared taking life by the balls and really LIVING, only to die too, too young.
If only one thing comes of your experiences with this site, I hope it is the ability to value
diversity and applaud freedom. Ultimately, I hope you learn to open closed doors
in your heart, mind and soul... doors which were closed by fear. For as long as there are no laws
