Square 9 No 2 plans available for download or purchase
This website is about micro model airplanes. The focus is on small planes ranging
from 3" span to 16" span both remote control and free flight. I have gathered lots
of info about building micro airplanes. I still consider myself a beginner but
think that some of the inforamtion I have learned is worth sharing.
A lot of the info I have learned has came from reading Indoor and Micro Models.
Forum at the E-Zone. A lot of the photos and informtion you will find here may
have been posted there first.I am in the process of gathering some of the useful
information I have posted there and condensing it on this site. Another great
discussion Forum for small models is Small Flying Arts.
New
I put up a page about Robert Guillot's World Record plane. , I added some photos of Didier
Lanot's Square 9 to the square9 page, and fixed the gearbox calculator.
I have been working on new plans for a square5.5 and plan on making new plans
for the square9 that uses the Plantraco gear. When I first drew the plans for
the square9 I hadnt heard about the Plantraco RX and TX so did not include it
in the list of possible RXs.It turns out that the Plantraco butterfly gear is a
good match for the square9. And the square9 makes a good replacement for your
butterfly if you decide to build a different plane for the gear.
Here are some micro plane links which I have been meaning to put up for quite some time.

About the logo!
The logo is a drawing of the Quick Junior which was designed by Gordon Johnson
Gordon has done some extensive testing of motors for use in micro model airplanes.
His website is here
The Quick Junior marks a point in micro modeling that the Didel 4.5 ohm 6mm motor
became the motor of choice for pager pager powered planes.
You can get a kit of the Quick Junior from BSD Micro RC.
