Elvis has left the country

OK some of you I have lied to. I said I would call before leaving. Well
Ive left and if I said I would call before I left I lied. Onto more
exciting topics.
The route Little River to Ft. Stockton TX to Presido TX to Chihuahua Mex to
Creel to Batopilas.
I spent one night in Creel woke up to squealing hogs being casterated. Left
Creel for Batopilas.
Batopilas approx. 60 miles south south east of Creel (you need a good map to
find Batopilas population 1100)
Batopilas founded 1632 former silver mining city in bottom of senic canyon
currently minor tourist destination major marajuana producing center. Spent
16 days in Batopilas hiked everywhere and drove everywhere else. Beautiful
scenery great people. The day I left I had to make several stops to say
goodbye to people who had befriended me. Of course the best place to eat in
town (Claraitas)had chickens running through the kitchen. I bugged out of
Batopilas yesterday with two passengers Rich and Carol. Rich got out at
Jimenez to catch the bus home. Carol is sorta heading for the Yucatan but
who knows. Im on a wandering route to Zihuatneo on the Pacific coast north
of Aculpulco. No I cant spell the Mexican City names correctly.
Currently Im in Torreon.
After leaving Batopilas Rich, Carol and I headed to Quochachie to Hidalgo de
Parral. In Parral Carol insisted we drive through the drive thru liqour
store shaped like a Tecate beer can (evil temptress). After getting our
beers and driving away drinking them we were promptly pulled over by the
local police. Amazingly he wanted to know if we were drinking (hey I
thought drinking and driving was sport in Mexico!). Rich, who is fluent in
Spanish, answered yes and immedately followed that with "Hey were lost how
do you get to Zacataes from here?" The cop forgot about the beer and began
explaining why we shouldnt drive the road to Zacateas something about being
killed and robbed or was that robbed then killed anyway... Took his advise
went to Jimenez dropped off Rich and Carol and I camped in a wheat field
between Jimenez and Torreon.
Gotta split as its five minuets till adventure time.
