What's New with Ryan 5/1/2001

I've been to Phoenix and Vancouver, now I'm going to Rio de Janeiro Brazil!

I work at Philips Lighting in Salina KS and I am part of a Quality improvement team. We have found a way to reduce broken cathodes on fluorescent lamps and will save the company lots of money. In order to promote personal empowerment and teams, Philips sponsors Quality Improvement Competitions. You and your team have 20 minutes to present, you can use slides and skits, or whatever. In each plant there is a local competiton. We won that one in January. Then we won the regional competiton in March in Phoenix. In April, we won the North American Competiton in Vancouver BC. And now we are headed to the World competion in Brazil! Wish us luck!

Here is the hotel we were staying at in Chandler AZ. Not too shabby eh! When I get pictures from Vancouver back, I will put them up.
