THE HOUSEMATES

PROFILES     SELF REFLECTION     16th HOUSEMATE

Chrissie
I'm a 29-year-old copywriter from Victoria and I work for myself. I started my own business writing copy for the real estate industry and now I get the luxury of coffee whenever I want it and quality time with my cat. I wish I had a dollar for every report card that said something along the lines of, "Chrissie would excel if she would stop talking and distracting." I'm an intriguing mix of vivacious and shy. I once heard someone describe themselves as a "gregarious recluse" and I tend to apply this to myself as well. I have a big laugh and I tell a great story.

Daniel

I'm a 28-year-old record store salesman/part-time nerd from South Australia. I'm basically an unfulfilled creative person with lots of ideas but without a lot of funds. I'm into anything that strikes me as odd or interesting. I think I'm a little strange and detached. I love to make people feel good if they want me to. I like to embrace all feelings, from popular feelings like happiness to the less popular like melancholy.

Joanne

I'm a 23-year-old solicitor from South Australia. I also model part-time. Away from work, I love middle distance running, swimming, shopping, and, of course, going out for drinks with my girlfriends. I've been told I'm an extremist, but I interpret that trait as dedicated and determined. Why Big Brother? I've always done what's expected of me and just for once I want to achieve or partake in something not expected of me.

Leah

I'm 18 years old and I was born and raised in New South Wales. I've just finished my HSC and I'm absolutely ready to take on the world. I'm pretty arty and have an outrageous and outgoing personality. I pretty much say what I want to, but that gets me into trouble. I'm a little untidy, I can cook, I love karaoke and I can shake my booty. I can get moody if people really tick me off. My motto is: "You just ain't ready for the jelly."

Patrick

I was born in Scotland, I'm 29 years old and I now live in New South Wales. I'm a business development manager, but I get to wear a T-shirt and there's a good coffee machine at work. I come from a big family, and big families means lots of talking and joking. I've gone from being a fairly shy kid in year 10 to knowing lots of people and being confident. I can be all things to all people.

Regina

I run a takeaway/sub-newsagency in Tasmania with my husband Adrian and I'm 29 years old. We work seven days a week and put in around 70-80 hours cooking a lot of fish and chips. I'm a happy person but working so many long hours can make me unhappy. I usually play women's soccer but I've been going to the gym this year instead. I also change my hair color and length all the time. I like to be different. I'm easygoing and take things as they come. I may not be the brainiest person around, but I'm me.

Saxon

I'm a 19-year-old university student doing a Batchelor of Arts and I live on the Central Coast of New South Wales. My entire life is sport, having been successful in surfing, football, athletics and squash throughout high school and university. I've been an active member in surf lifesaving my entire life and still compete in state and national titles. My family is my life, my mother my greatest inspiration and I'm always myself.

Vincent

I'm a 28-year-old structural engineer from Victoria. I like to write music and I'm also working on a manuscript for a novel, but so far it's taken me four years to complete. As a teenager, I traveled extensively overseas through most of Europe, America and Argentina. It was about this time I developed my passion for music and motorbikes. I'm a "people person" and I'm known for being spontaneous - I'm the type of person who tries anything at least once or twice. I've been told that I can be manipulative, calculating and have the infamous Sicilian temper. Oh and I'm also stubborn.
