Bexley Local
Studies and Archive Centre holds all the historic material for the London
Borough of Bexley area and the centre is based at the Central Library in
Townley Road. Here you can look at books, pamphlets, maps and pictures relating
to the Victorian period in the local area and again all the material is listed
on the Bexley Libraries catalogue. One thing to remember is that all the
material at the centre is for reference only so it can’t be taken away but you
can usually copy anything of interest that you find.
The centre
also has cheap books on the local area and local studies notes on particular
subjects, including the Victorian period, which have been produced to help with
schoolwork and projects.
