How We Met...11/25/2000
Bethany was out to dinner with Kim, the couple's mutual friend. They decided to go to Michael's Harborside after dinner to have a drink. As Bethany and Kim were catching up, Richard and the guys (all Kim & Rich's friends) showed up. Rich took Kim aside and asked about Bethany. Kim called Bethany over to introduce them. Although Rich and Bethany had met several times before, the two never really struck up a conversation. This night was different...they began to talk and make fun of the tacky band that was playing. Both Rich and Bethany found themselves laughing a LOT that night and saw that they had a lot in common. It was getting late and everyone was leaving. Rich never asked for Bethany's number, and she wondered if she would see him again. In the car Kim asked her " If Richard asked for your number could I give it to him?" Bethany said yes, but doubted he would ask for it, never mind call. Richard called Bethany the next evening (no he didn't follow the 3 day rule that all men have) and they decided to go out the following weekend, December 4, 2000. The following day, Bethany said to two close friends "I think I met the guy I am going to marry!" And the rest....is history! |
