Guild Wars
out since April 2005

Game play

One thing of the few gripes I have about the game is the lack of variety of the character customization. Though there are 6 classes to choose from, the lack of classes was made up with quality of the classes. The available choices include Elementalist, Mesmer, Monk, Necromancer, Ranger and Warrior, which is quite standard in most RPGs.

Though not required, but widely chosen, the characters can take a secondary class. It won't have any penalties on the characters. The armor class of the characters are determined by the primary class.

The user interface is easy to get accustomed to with a "Windows Start" button which brings out all the accessible features of the game. There individual buttons that are mapped to the individual windows that can be dragged around and stacked on each other. The windows are translucent so that in the midst of the battle. Also, the user can choose the graphics options and also choose to map the buttons to that of their preference.
