Motorola V600

The V600 is one of Motorola's high tier phone models. It combines the reliability of the popular V60 series and the features (such as J2ME and a color screen) of the T720 series, and also adds many new features, such as Bluetooth and an integrated camera.

The V600 is very important to international travellers because quite often they already have a RIM BlackBerry to do their email, but until the release of the 7290 model, they had only worked on either the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz GSM frequencies. In order to get reception in every country that has GSM, the V600 operates on the GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 bands (In comparison, the GSM version of the T720 for North America only operates on the 850/1900 bands). The phone was carried in the U. Cell Phones at Motorola's HelloMoto USA. S. by T-Mobile USA (the T-Mobile version had the 850 MHz band removed, but can be re-enabled via a software update or seem-editing), AT&T Wireless and Cingular.

The V600 was so successful that Motorola released many new V series phones, including the Motorola V180, V220, V400, V500, V505, V550, as well as custom models for carriers. Most of these phones are quad-band as well.
