309. Route 9 is from Route 1 near Santa Cruz to Route 17 near Los
Gatos via Waterman Gap and Saratoga Gap and along the ridge between
the San Lorenzo and Pescadero Creeks.

(a) Route 1 near Santa Cruz to Route 236 near Boulder Creek.
(b) Route 236 near Boulder Creek to Route 236 near Waterman Gap.
(c) Route 236 near Waterman Gap to Route 35.
(d) Saratoga to Route 17 near Los Gatos.
(e) Blaney Plaza in Saratoga to Route 35.
Santa Cruz somewhat lives on tourism. There's the Santa Cruz Mission Park, the
county historic museum, and the civic center, all near the southern end of the route.
