Ship's Log(12 May, 2005 Tarpon Springs, Fl)
Well 272 NM and 2 nights later we find ourselves in Tarpon Springs, lately of Panama City, Fl. Got in tied up, Jim paid the Greek, and we're set for 2 nights, maybe longer. Super hot here in the City Marina, just the way I like it. Lots of Boutiques and lots of cute tourists in their beige shorts and sun glasses. After dinner at the local Greek place (75 ft from the boat), we got back and found Pete the Pelican hanging out on our stern pier.
Pete thinks that pier is his, and not ours.
The ride up the river to the marina was a trip through the past - everything around reminds you of the Greek sponge industry here years ago. Lots of new around here too of course.
