Achievements
Belvoir Vale Ladies
became affiliated to the English Tug of War Association in 2003 and
competed in their first English National Championships in Manchester and finished in the runners-up spot in the 560kg
weight. This allowed them to
represent England in the European Championships in Assen, Holland in the autumn of 2003, where they finished a
very respectable 4th.
In 2004, Belvoir Vale
claimed their first National gold medal in the 520kg Open, and silver in
560kg Open competition at the UK National Championships in Wales, followed by a closely contested 4th
place in the 520kg open in Minnesota, USA.
