Say hello to the new Irish sensation... Bellefire
Hi girls! How are you finding the music industry?
Ciara It's very different but we're slowly getting used to it. It's so much smaller than I thought it would be but everybody we've met so far has been really nice.
Cathy I didn't realise just how much goes on behind-the-scenes, there is so much work done by the record company - it's so different to what I expected.
Tara At first it was a bit daunting, but it's been an enjoyable learning process!
Tell us bit about how you got together
Ciara It was all done through a series od auditions. Over 700 guys ans girls were there!
Tara Auditions were held in Dublin and people came from all over the country to take part, it was a great experience.
Cathy Ciara is my sister, so when she went to the audition Louis asked if she knew of anyone else who could sing, and they auditioned me. I was the last to join!
Louis is the manager of Westlife, Boyzone and Samantha Mumba. Are you feeling any pressure to be as successful as them?
Tara We're under no pressure at all. The boys and Samantha have all done really well in their own right but they've been around for a while now and it takes time to have that success. We're just taking each day as it comes.
Kelly They are hard acts to follow, I don't think we're competing with them, though. I think everyone is just wanting us to do as well as we can.
Was it like Popstars all over again?
Kelly Oh, most definitely! It all came flooding back. But we've been together for well over a year noew, but the whole Popstars experience was amazing. We al really felt for those guys. It's such a nerve-racking thing to go through.
Tara Fair play to them for doing so well. They've definitely got guts! Fortunately we've had the opportunity to take some time to write our own songs and work together closely.
Tell us about your music then...
Ciara I think we have a unique sound. It's really edgy, guitar-y but still fun pop!
Tara I think David Bowie, Madonna and Britney have really inspired our music.
Cathy We all love All Saints, David Bowie and, of course, the one and only U2!
Kelly But we love anything pop - especially with strong harmonies. Pop with attitude is cool!
