Three young men from Cwambran in Wales, namely - Kelly Jones, Richard Jones and Stuart Cable - started a new music band firstly named 'Tragic Love Company' after each of the member's favourite groups at the time. As the band grew the original name was considered to be inappropriate, and this is where the 'Stereophonics' were first created. The Stereophonics have been in the British charts for some years now, and with the most recent album - 'Just Enough Education to Perform' - the Stereophonics look set to cement their place amoung Britains finest. Previous chart success saw the Stereophonic's 2nd album - 'Performance and Cocktails' - reach No.1 in the UK charts in 1999, followed with similar success by the singles 'Ther Bartender and the Thief' and 'Pick a Part Thats New'. This gave the Stereophonics a greater fanbase and saw their 1st album - 'Word Gets Around' - climb the UK charts to No.4 because of the growing interest in their musical talent. Today sees the Stereophonics performing all over the globe, and with their recent UK Tour completed they have set their sites on conquering America.
