Swimsuits TodayMore recently some women's swimsuits have shrunk to cover less and less of their bosom and bottom, until they sometimes cover little more than the nipples and genitalia. Some females complain today it is hard to find a conservative swimsuit that covers them like they prefer. In the 1980s, the thong or tanga emerged from Brazil. With the introduction of new fabrics like spandex and Lycra®, the technology of swimsuits and what is possible is advanced so that swimsuit configurations previously impossible become available, like the pretzel maillot, bottom. With continued public acceptance of minimalist beach wear, some women like to push the envelope, so to speak, with ultra-minimalist, transparent swimsuits like that below. Despite the fact that acceptable to display nearly all of one's body poolside or at the beach, total nudity continues to make most Americans very uncomfortable. Despite the media's obsession with slim big-busted women, in the book Patterns of Sexual Behavior, authors Clellan Ford and Frank Beach' came to the conclusion that the most universally admired feminine trait is plumpness — not perfect breasts. |
