Introduction

The first time I saw this PVC figurine was on the gashapon paper of my Koharu & Nanase in Pocket Theater set.  It was beautifully drafted on the gashapon paper & it rose my interest.  It was about over half a year that I finally saw the coloured prototype on the web.  Although I wanted to get it, I noticed that it was an adult PVC figurine with the option of stripping Hiiragi Hinata naked from the top up.  Plus, I know nothing about the Hinatabokko ero-game.  My final decision was made up by purchasing it since chances are that I won't be displaying her naked.

Hiiragi Hinata has been sold out since its first week of release.  There have been another shipment batch made after it was sold out.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

1/8 Hiiragi Hinata in box

It's a nice packaging box as it really fits Hiiragi as she is displayed outside the windows; front & sides.  Nice light colours.  Also, the box is quite big in terms of width due to her dress.

Hiiragi Hinata out of the box

When you pull Hiiragi out of the box, you notice how small she is.  Although I knew in advance that she's only 18cm tall at the 1/8 scale since she's a loli-sized character, but I didn't think she would be that small.  About 50% of the box's height.

Hirragi from different sides

What attached me to this Hirragi figurine was basically that pose.  It seems very free flowing & full of life.  It doesn't look like it's a static pose as it has a lot of motion.

Although Hiiragi is attached to the small scenery base, you need to remove her & attach the small leg stand included in the box.  It's used to hold her left leg that's bent back.  The strange thing about this is that she's so secured to the base.  I had a hard time removing her from it & used a lot of force.  However, after putting the leg stand & placing Hiiragi back, she become loose.  She would come off the base more easily when I lift her up by accident.  I'm assuming either the plastic protection that was between her leg & the base made her tight or she was glued on the base originally.

Included is a smaller version of that weird dog underneath the big one.  You basically need to remove the big one.  The small one is attached to the base permanently.  As a bonus, you can strip Hirragi's clothes off.  Included are instructions on how you can do it & it's not too tricky as it looks.  You need to remove her broom, hair & dress to expose her.  And if you are wondering, yes, the manufacturers did paint some nipples on her.  Although I have seen it, I'm not going to put pics of it here since I don't want to put adult material here.  So, here's a censored version instead!

ACK!  Naked loli! O_O

So, how is that one piece dress removed as a cast off?

Notice the cracks on the side of the dress?  That's how you remove the clothing.  Although it's fairly easy to remove it, putting it back together isn't.  It doesn't close completely no matter how hard I try to.  Also, all of the clothing, including the hair & broom, are made of soft PVC.  Almost like rubber & this is a good thing since these are removable parts & they will make them last longer if you remove these parts a lot.  Also, it's quite heavy & it makes it more heavier than a lot of 1/8 PVC figures out there.  I think it's almost as heavy as most 1/6 figures.

The paint job is pretty amazing.  Very clean with very little bleeds.  Even the fingernails aren't too bad & I have issues about that area since they tend to come out ugly most of the times.  Plus, the choice of colours is soft & carries some very nice tones; such as the light blue on the white parts.

The molding isn't too bad if you ignore the areas of the clothing where it comes apart.  The biggest problem lies there since the clothing doesn't snap together well as you can see the gaps in between.  Also, that weird cat looks more weird with the heavy molding joint line in front of its face.  This applies to both the big & small one.  Aside from these, the shaping is very smooth.

Kawaii! ^^

Hiiragi's face really has that loli appearance & feel to it.  Not only that, it looks very dumbfounded for some reason.  But, a lot of loli characters seem to have that look a lot these days.  Nevertheless, it looks cute.  This is pretty much all thanks to the soft bright colours used & the excellent detailling.  Hiiragi's face has some blush colour to it & the etching on the eyes is beautiful.  For some reason, it looked very blurry when she was in the box.  But, it looks fine when I pulled her out.

Overall Conclusion

The 1/8 Hiiragi Hinata PVC figurine is truly an amazing piece of work.  Even if you ignore the fact that it's an adult PVC figurine, it's still beautiful.  It's got nice workmanship & great colour toning.  I have her displayed on my shelf with no plans to put her away in the future.

On a scale of ten, the 1/8 Hirragi Hinata PVC figurine gets a nine.  The excellent blend of colours & molding job with the exception of the dogs are what makes it shine.  The downside about it is how the cast off parts doesn't stick together to close off that space in between.  But if you like your lolis naked, you would probably give this a perfect ten since the cast off problem won't bother you.  Also, she comes off her base easily after removing her from it once.

If you are looking for Hirragi Hinata, she shouldn't be too hard to find now.  Although price is slightly cheaper than the suggested Japanese retail price on online auctions, the shipping may cost more than the figurine as it is heavy.  As much as I want to recommend in getting this PVC figurine, it's quite pricey.  You can get a 1/6 scale one for that price almost.  What makes it pricey is basically the cast off options.  That's another reason why I would have people think twice about it if they have children under 18 present in their house.

There's a repaint version of Hirragi Hinata & it's labelled as Natsuki version.  Basically, it's the same figurine with repainted clothing & with the dog being black instead.  Although it's limited to 600 pieces, the original one is more popular based on demand.
