Introduction

When I first saw this Hinatabokko gashapon set from J-Hobby, I didn't know what it was.  All I knew was it was an adult gashapon set based on what was written on the gashapon paper.  Since I'm not living alone & don't want any figurine with strong nudity, I carefully looked at it before I purchased it.

There are two versions of Koharu & Nanase available in the market: gashapon & trading figurines.  There are no differences between the two except for price, packaging, & colour.  I'll explain more later in the review.  Currently, the gashapon version have been sold out while the trading figurine ones are still available in very little places.

Currently, I haven't assemble or open this set since I'm planning to look for a display case to put them in.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Koharu & Nanase in package

You probably won't see much in this review, but I should give it out just in case people are planning to get this set.  There are five + one figurines in this set.  This is also the same for the trading figure version.  The major difference between the two in terms of quality is the colour.

The clothing colours you see in the pics above are exactly what you get from this gashapon set.  The trading figures have different colours, but isn't a big difference.  For example, Koharu's bathing suit is red in the trading figure version while the gashapon version is blue.

Judging from the pics in the gashapon paper alone, they look good in terms of the scenery.  As for quality of the paint job, I don't know.  I managed to get a peek of one of Koharu's faces from the packaging & it looked very good.  The package does have the secret figurine in it, which is Nanase taking a bath.  She is naked, but her front privates are cover as she holds that weird dog in her arms.  So, how do I know it's for adults?

You must be 18 years or old to buy this product!

The print in the above pic tells you that answer.  Usually if products like these are for adults, you would see something like that.  Usually they would have some detailed nudity, but this one doesn't.  Plus, adult gashapons sell for ¥500 or ¥600 a piece.  This one sells at ¥400 for some reason.  Plus, there are trading figurines which is a extremely rare case.

Overall Conclusion

Currently, I can't grade the Koharu & Nanase in Pocket Theater gashapon version set since it's all mixed up in that tight bag.  From what I seen, this isn't bad looking set.  I'll redo this review when I assemble them & have the time

If you are looking for the gashapon version of Koharu & Nanase in Pocket Theater, you need to look for them in online auctions.  I don't seen any stores carrying this anymore.  However, if you are willing to pay an extra ¥100, get the trading figure version since they are more easier to find.
