Introduction When I first saw these Fate/stay night Toricore! trading figurines, I thought they looked cute. I got a set from J-Hobby a couple of months after they were released & just before volume two was about to come out. Currently, I don't have these trading figurines out of their packaging. I don't have the space for them & I'm thinking of putting them in a display case. Some of the pictures aren't clear & good. If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them. |

The Review
There are six trading figurines in this set. The sixth one is a variation than a secret. The girls in the set are Saber, Rin Tohsaka, Sakura Matou, Ilyasviel von Einzbern, & Rider. The variation figurine is Rider without her eyemask as indicated on the box. Although I haven't got these out of their bags yet, they look simple to assemble. Put their heads on their body & then to the base. Don't know how easy it is to put them together & their stability. Below is a pic of the actual Rider variation. As you can see, these Toricore! trading figures have big heads & skinny bodies. Pretty much SD format. Using variation Rider, her face looks too cute & plain. I don't know how to describe it really. It's not something I like or really hate. It's really looks dull. |

Overall Conclusion The Fate/stay night Toricore! Vol. 1 trading figurines is really a hit or miss. It's not something you will go dying for. Currently, I can't really grade them since they are still in packaging. I'll redo this review when I have them out. Personally, I don't think Fate fans should get this set even if they are hardcore ones. Even with volume two out with different characters & style, I won't go for either of them. If you want to get this set, it's hard to find them now. However, there are a lot of bootlegs of these trading figurines available at very low prices. So I suggest that you should research the sellers before buying from them. Price wise, there are pretty much lower than the suggested Japanese retail price now. |
