I Eat No Meat
a phaze? fashion? a vow?
I have been a vegeterian since 11th August 1999. And I dont regret it. In fact, there are times, when I feel grateful for my decision.

I am a vegeterian because I believe that
eating animals is not only wrong, but disgusting. Even if I wanted to, I wouldnt be able to eat meat now. Its a belief, and like every belief, it goes to your head.

What is a VEGETERIAN?

A person who, for whatever reasons s/he may have, chooses (usually voluntarily) to stop eating meat. That includes fish. Yet there are some vegeterians who ignore the fish-part & eat it anyways. Your limits as a vegeterian, are up to you.

VEGETERIAN vs. VEGAN
A vegan is a person who takes this more "seriously" or is more "exaggerated", depending on your point of view. A vegan does not eat animal products; that includes milk, eggs, cheese. While being a vegan is less healthy than vegeterian, there is are astonishing amount of vegans.

RESPECT
More and more respect is being shown towards vegeterians and vegans. Restaurants have special menus made especially for those who dont eat meat. But vegeterians also have to have respect towards those who do eat meat. Respecting other people for their decisions is how we must live. We all have the freedom to live as we choose.

THE CATCH
I want to be honest with you. Everything has it's catch, and in this case, it's IRON. Iron is in meat & fish, and you need iron. A sign of lack of iron is energy. I was surprised when I'd get dizzy simply by standing up too quickly, and when I'd reach my limit in sports much faster than before. Something else you have to watch out for and balance well is protein. But that's in eggs and milk. If you want to be a vegan, you have to be even more careful. Naturally. I take iron pills. Okay... Sometimes.  :-S  See, I'm honest!
