Temporary exhibitions

The Museum organises temporary exhibitions of material from its collections not normally on display or on a particular theme.

Programme for temporary exhibitions in 2005:

Permanent exhibitions

Permanent exhibitions at Barnet Museum:

•  The Battle of Barnet (currently undergoing an extensive improvement plan with assistance from the Battlefield's Trust – 2005)
•  Archaeology – mainly medieval finds on display
•  Domestic items – mainly from the 20th Century
•  Costume – ladies dresses, bonnets and lace
•  Public houses and the coaching trade in Barnet
•  Local businesses – Watsons Microscopes, the Barnet Ventilator
•  Services, Hospital and Fire Service
•  The Home Front in Barnet during World War Two
•  Schooling in Barnet
•  Victorian Room

Past exhibitions

Lace : The Museum displayed items from its extensive lace collection during the winter of 2002-03.

115 Years of Barnet Football Club : Items from Barnet Museum and Barnet Football Club Supporters' Association were displayed from August to October 2003.
