GAAP

Gaap is a demon, recognized as an entity of great power among their kind and is the 33rd recorded spirit in the sacred Ars Goetia.

Gaap is a master of the aerial sphere, capable of carrying travellers across the world to different places with expediencey. They can alter the mentality of others, rendering them insensible and ignorant, or causing people to fall into love or hatred with one another. When the minds of others and clouded, those who seek this demon's services may stride ahead with little effort, learning philosophy and all other liberal arts. They are skilled in Divination, applying it for the purposes of answering one's questions truthfully and completely, and their power can make familiars apathetic or distracted, causing them to wander from their masters. The power of this Lord of The South, while great, should only be fully utilized under dire circumstances. They command a court of around 396,000 demons.

They appear most presently when the Sun reveals the signs of Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces by travelling through the southern hemisphere of the Earth, and the form they take is of a humanoid with giant swooping wings. Their likeness is often compared to that of Pazuzu, who was worshipped in Mesopotamia and recognized as a great winged demon who controlled the southern winds.

Gaap works to obscure minds into weakness so that others may surpass them and, inevitably, use them, achieving very much through little sacrifice unto oneself. There is a specific hierarchy of demons in which Gaap belongs to, which additionally includes Amaymon, Corson, and Ziminar, and together they rule the four cardinal directions of the Earth (South, East, West and North respectively), lording over their domains as powerful magnates of demonkind. It is the demon Amaymon who Gaap is most loyal to, and if they are asked to enchant or cleanse an object, then it is under the power of Amaymon themself that they do so.
