What's acupuncture?

Acupuncture is ancient Chinese art of carefully placing thin needles into the body to help stop illness, addiction and relieve stress and upset.

Acupuncture can be used for a number of reasons - morning sickness for pregnant women, muscle and bone pains and diseases, asthma and more commonly it's used to help people to quit smoking.

Acupuncture can help with the cravings of the cigarettes and to help rid your body of toxins, it will not make you quit smoking. You have to quit smoking before we use acupuncture as it isn't some miracle cure for smoking.

When you first go to get acupuncture, we will more than likely have to answer lots of questions about your habits, your diet and what you want from sessions of acupuncture.

What does it do?

Acupuncture is a very safe method of quitting smoking and it doesn't work for everyone. While it has a great success rate, we have to remember that we have to want to be smoke free for it to work. We will have already quit smoking when we receive acupuncture, but acupuncture will help alleviate any symptoms or cravings we are getting.

The acupuncture works by putting needles into specific areas of your body that are associated with the cravings for cigarettes. This will hopefully take away feelings of needing and wanting the cigarettes. The acupuncture works only if you really want to quit smoking, we will be wasting your money if we have no actual desire to stop smoking.

We will have to have a few sessions of acupuncture before you actually stop smoking and sessions can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes each session. If we stop going to your sessions before your treatment is successfully completed, we may go back to smoking.

Zithromax is an antibiotic ( macrolide-type ) used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
