Chapter 2: Another LONG Wait
The drive to Toronto was quick since there were no traffic problems. Manda and Mel were sitting in the back of the car. Manda was listening to Backstreet’s Back and Mel was talking to Jo in thier chat room.
Meli_Ann: Hey Jo!
Jo_Lizi: Hey! Aren’t you guys on the road?
Meli_Ann: Ya! But I had nothing to do so I thought I would see if you or Jenni_Lyn were on and well here I am! HEHE
Jo_Lizi: Oh Kewl! So...where is Mandi_Bear?
Mandi_Bear: HERE!!! Oh wait we're not in school, are we...LOL
Jo_Lizi: Did You think it was roll call again? LOL!!
Mandi_Bear: Haha!...Ya well Im kinda out of it, ya know??
Jenni_Lyn: Mandi You always do that when we come on here!!
Meli_Ann: JENNI!!!!! Jenni_Lyn: MELI, MANDI, JO!!! HAHA LOL
Jo_Lizi: Hey Jenni!
Mandi_Bear: Meli, did you have to spaz like that???
Meli_Ann: Yes I did!! You know I do when ever someone new comes in!
Mandi_Bear: You didnt for me :(
Meli_Ann: MANDI!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)
Meli_Ann: Happy Now???
Mandi_Bear: Yes I am!
Jenni_Lyn: You guys are sittin right next to each other!!
Meli_Ann: Ya, Your Point???
Jo_Lizi: Never mind Mel
Mandi_Bear: LOL@MELI!!!
Meli_Ann: Haha you guys very funny.Mandi, do you see me laughing???
Mandi_Bear: No, but that doesn't mean WE cant!!!!!
Meli_Ann: OH DAMN!! We gotta split!
Jo_Lizi: Man and the fun just started!!
Jenni_Lyn: Well, See Ya L8R!
Mandi_Bear: Ya! BYE!!!
Meli_Ann: L8R!
They finally reached downtown Toronto around 3:00pm and the concert doesn’t start until 7:30pm that night.
"Hey, do you two wanna go shopping at The Eatons Center and have a quick bite at JJ Muggs?" Mel’s mom asked.
"Ya sure! Is it your treat mom?" Mel asked.
"Ya, ok then let’s go!" Mel’s mom said as she drove to the mall to park. Mel, Manda and Mel’s mom ventured into some really cool stores after they got something to eat.
"Hey, Mel, do you like this?" Manda asked as she held up this cool purple shear silk spaghetti strap tank top that covered a light blue tank in one hand. In the other hand she held up matching pants.
"Yeah, it would look sooo good on you!" Mel replied. Manda smiled.
"Thanks," she replied.
Mel rummaged through a rack and pulled something she liked out. "Hey, what do you think about this yellow sparkly spaghetti strap top?" Mel asked holding it up so that Manda could see.
"You would look amazing! That would look great with your new pants!" Manda exclaimed. They both bought the outfits, changed, ate dinner and decided to go to a local coffee shop for an Iced Cappuccino. Manda and Mel were up at the counter ordering when Mel saw a familiar car drive past the drive thru window but didn’t think anything of it. She and Manda went back to the car and noticed that it was only 5:30.
They decided to check into the hotel and then go back out to the SkyDome. When they entered their rooms, Manda and Mel noticed that their room was elegant, yet cute.
"Man, this place is like...WHOA!" Mel said as she looked around with wide eyes.
Manda nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I know and we get the whole room to ourselves!!" Manda said as she started to dance around the room.
"Yeah, but my mom is right next door," Mel said as she put her stuff down. After they put their luggage down, they hit the road again.
While they were driving towards the SkyDome, Mel saw the same car again. "Manda, doesn’t that car look familar?" Mel asked turning towards Manda.
Manda turned to get a better look at the car. "Yeah, didn’t we see it...." she trailed off, "WAIT!!! OHMIGOD!!!! I know who’s driving!" Manda exclaimed.
"Well, who is it??" Mel asked impatiently.
Manda turned towards Mel and replied, "It’s AJ!!!"
"OHMIGOD!!! AJ!!" Mel screamed.
"It couldn’t be. Don’t they have a final sound check or something?" asked Mel’s mom.
"Yeah, maybe he just needed to garb a couple of things for the rest of the guys..." Mel replied.
With that said, she was left wondering whether or not it was actually AJ.
