The induction would take around 12 hours so we were expecting her to go into labor early the next morning, so we checked her into the hospital and waited.
Since they were keeping her over night they wanted to make sure everything was going alright with her and the baby so they hooked her up to two paddles: one to detect her contractions and the other to keep track of the baby's heart rate.
