Web Hosing Guide

This PC Based Oscilloscope is designed to use at small scale. The project has an Analog-to-Digital converter that samples the DC voltage and gives appropriate output to the octal buffer which stores the samples, when refreshed the next sample of the wave form can be seen on the PC-screen. Because this project runs at 5V, the IC 7805 converts 9V DC to 5V DC.

The input frequency is given to the full wave rectifier and the zero- crossing detector detects the positive cycles. The analogue switch CD4016 is used to samples the input voltage. When the collector of the transistor gets high voltage it will close the switch inside the CD4016 and the capacitor will be charged towards the signal voltage. The software for the display is developed using the C language which is very easy to work with and simple.
