It's All About the BOD

Ateneo de Manila, QC - The Philam and White Plains leagues are underway. From a surprising but still disappointing third place finish in Philam and devastating 1point losses in the White Plains finals last year, Team B2004 is back to bring home the bacon...now more than ever. As preparation for the leagues, the bboys aim to improve on their physical conditioning. The inspiration was brought brought about by the hulk like bodies of Chad Pacheco, Fidel Mercado, Jon-D Crisol and Cholo Atienza. The first loss in Philam this year served as a wake up call for players like Kito Mojica and Sonnie Guerrero who threw a number airballs in the game. Clearly, these players have VERY poor conditioning. Team health consultant Chuckie Concepcion advised the players to hit the gym once in a while to somehow give a resolution to this alarming problem. Now, the WHOLE team is advised to work out. According to Team health consultant Chuckie Concepcion, physical conditioning is a big factor in performing well during games. "Just go to the gym and do what I do and you guys will be ok. It's all about the bod," Mr. Concepcion states. Very inspiring words from the body building machine himself. Starting last Wednesday, a number of bboys hit the gym. Things turned out well as the bboys enjoyed another SB event. But then this question popped in my head, is it just another SB event? Perhaps not. It is MORE than that. Willingness, perseverance and camaraderie - these are the 3 words that come to mind when I think about it. We see our willingness to win it all, our perseverance to perform well each game and the camaraderie we share with each other during the SB event. But are these enough to make us the team to beat this year? Probably not. We still remain as the darkhorse(billy estanislao)in this summer's basketball leagues. But one thing is for sure. Team B2004 will give its all in every game. Because every player in the team beleives that, IT'S NOW MORE THAN EVER...
